B y winning their game in hand by  a 3-1 scoreline  in Leganes, Real Madrid leapfrogged Valencia in the LaLiga table. Last season's champions are now into third place, with 48 points to their name, two more than Los Che. Not only are they now into the automatic qualification spots for next season's Champions League, but Los Blancos are now nine points ahead of fifth-placed Sevilla.
